Every Poem written by the Author, Evelyn Gibson, helps to highlight the Importance of the verbal expression based upon a treasure-chest of personal experiences.  Poetry comes to life and becomes Invigorating, Inspiring, and Inseparable, allowing the reader to open themselves to vulnerabilities that remain hidden.   That is important in today’s society.  The poetry written here has a way of leading each of us into the thoughts of those who are unable to speak for themselves.  In its Immediacy, Evelyn’s poetry becomes a mirror for each of us to evaluate our own hidden biases and address the ugly, the chaotic, the violent and simply the “elephant standing in the room.”  We are unable to Ignore differences and become challenged to move from hatred to love, from separation to connection, and from conformity to Incongruity.  We are unable to “unlearn” what has been learned, or “unsee” what has been seen.  If we Imbrace the Poetry offered here, bridges can be built that allow us to empathize and accept one another with a greater understanding.  All of us are then able to become free from Ignorance and gain Insight to Interpret life through the poetic beauty and Iridescent landscape offered with each poem.
